The chairman of ACI Anis Doula has announced the purchase of shares worth 24 crore taka from the stock market. He will acquire 1.6 million shares which at the current market price of ACI shares amounts to approximately 24 crore taka. This announcement was made today (Sunday) through the website of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE).

Earlier this month ACI’s managing director Doula had announced the purchase of 600,000 shares from the market which he completed on January 20. Similarly on January 15 ACI director Anis announced the purchase of 1.515 million shares which she has already completed. As a result a total of 3.715 million shares will be acquired by ACI’s three directors this month amounting to a market value of around 56 crore taka.

This morning ACI’s share price on DSE was 150 taka per share. At this price the 1.6 million shares announced by Anis Doula would total approximately 24 crore taka. Previously Doula and Anis had together purchased shares worth 32 crore taka.

Furthermore in the last fiscal year ending in June ACI provided a 35% dividend to its shareholders which included 20% in cash and 15% as bonus shares. The company is currently classified as an A grade company on the stock exchange with a strong fundamental base.
