Freelancing Training in 48 Districts: Stipends, Age Limits, and Application Process

Under the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Department of Youth Development has announced free freelancing training programs for students across various regions of the country. Through this initiative, the aim is to enhance the skills of youth and create employment opportunities for them. There will be no fee for participation in this training, and trainees will also receive a daily stipend.

Details of the Training Program:

The freelancing training is being conducted under the “Creation of Employment for Educated Youth through Freelancing Training” project by the Department of Youth Development. This program will be available in 48 districts across eight divisions of the country, with the goal of training young people in freelancing skills. The program intends to develop skilled workers, opening up employment opportunities in the freelancing sector.

The training will begin on January 1, 2025, and run until March 31, 2025, lasting for three months (600 hours).

Eligibility:

To apply for the freelancing training, applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 35. Applicants must have completed at least their Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) or an equivalent qualification. Both men and women are eligible to apply for the program.

Locations for Training:

The freelancing training will take place in 48 districts across eight divisions of Bangladesh. These districts include those in Dhaka, Chattogram, Rajshahi, Khulna, Rangpur, Barishal, and Sylhet divisions. Interested candidates from these districts are eligible to apply.

Benefits of the Training:

Trainees will receive a daily stipend of 200 Taka to cover transportation costs and other expenses. In addition, trainees will be provided with breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack during the training. Upon completion of the course, trainees will receive a certificate, which will help them in pursuing a career in freelancing.

Application Process:

Applications must be submitted online. Interested candidates can apply until 11:59 PM on December 24, 2024. After this deadline, no applications will be accepted. A written examination for applicants will take place on December 28, 2024, and the oral examination will be held on December 29, 2024. The final list of selected candidates will be announced on December 30, 2024.
